Mike asked:
Hi Marc,
Thanks for the great info you are freely sharing on your blog!
I found it while searching for more details about Orwellpro and here I am spending the last two hours browsing through… (I almost forgot why I came for in the first place)
BTW – Could you post a thread comparing Orwellpro with PortalFeeder, as I am not sure which one is more appropriate to start with?
Great question, Mike!
There are 4 distinct phases in site building for VRE (virtual real estate) purposes. By VRE purposes I mean building sites for the purpose of getting good search engine rankings (which leads to traffic), and then monetizing that traffic via Adsense, affiliate products, CPA offers, etc.
The four distinct phases of building a VRE site are:
Research - scouring keyword information and hanging out in forums related to your potential niches in order to better understand the members of the niche, and pull together a keyword list and potential content topics.
Build - using tools to build a website that is well thought out, contains excellent content, and is properly SEO’ed
Promote - letting the world know about your website by building links to your site.
Maintain - periodically updating your site to add new, fresh content (essential if you want to last long-term in the search engines)
Orwell Pro
Orwell Pro is designed to help you automate the Maintain portion of site building. It allows you to quickly and easily locate third party articles that are available for syndication by you, and add them to your website, blog, XSitePro site, etc. It’s not intended to assist with any other of the three phases of VRE site building (Research, Build, or Promote).
It’s intended for people with an existing collection of VRE sites who want to more easily update them with new content.
PortalFeeder
PortalFeeder is designed to address all four of the VRE site building phases, and provides a massive amount of training for those who are new to site building. Orwell Pro is a part of PortalFeeder, which we also sell separately for those not ready for a complete solution like PortalFeeder.
From initial research, through site building (and blog building), promotion, and maintenance, PortalFeeder gives you the full package, with everything you need to build sites quickly and get them indexed and ranking well in as short a time as possible.
Which One Should You Use?
If you’ve already got a VRE site empire, and you’re looking for a way to help automate adding fresh content to them, then Orwell Pro is the tool for you.
If, on the other hand, you’re just getting started, or you’re in need of training to help you learn the right way to do VRE for the long term, then PortalFeeder is the better choice for you.
Right now, the doors to PortalFeeder are closed - we only open them up periodically when existing members leave. I’d recommend that you get on our waiting list at http://portalfeeder.com, and we’ll email you when more spots become available.
I hope this has helped, Mike!
