A few days ago, I told you about Yahoo pulling the Overture inventory tool. As of now, Yahoo has deleted the Bid tool as well.
The bid tool is what you would use during preliminary keyword research to see what advertisers were paying for PPC ads at Overture.
I wonder how many internet marketing software publishers are scrambling right now to find a replacement?
If anyone knows of any good publicly available sources of PPC bid data, let us know
(on a side note, it appears that the Overture Inventory tool is back online… I wonder for how long?)

1Hey Marc,
There were some releases from Overture/Yahoo about the keyword tool a couple of days after it was reported it was going away.
Here’s a post on SEJ that has some of the response direct from Yahoo

2I ended up getting a subscription to Word Tracker to get my keyword popularity fix - it’s tough to live without that info.
But, with all the automated queries sucking up the bandwidth, it wasn’t unusual to find the Yahoo! keyword tool barely usable so they needed to make a change.
As for PPC data, the Google Tool is the only other one I know about…
